The PGA Tour travels from Palm Springs to San Diego for the Farmers Insurance Open, and while it’s not an “elevated” event, a number of the game’s biggest names come to Torrey Pines.
Five of the world’s top 10 are in the peloton, led by Jon Rahm (#4). Xander Schauffele (6), Will Zalatoris (7), Justin Thomas (8) and Collin Morikawa (9) complete the top 10 players in competition.
Additionally, five others in the top 30 are competing, including California native Max Homa (No. 16).
Luke List, last year’s winner over Will Zalatoris in the playoffs, returns to defend. The two previous winners before him, Patrick Reed and Marc Leishman, left for LIV Golf.
Viewers will be treated to the usual breathtaking views of the oceanside course, but mark calendars accordingly: The Farmers Insurance Open runs Wednesday through Saturday, leaving Sunday for the NFL Conference Championships.
