- Another atmospheric river is expected to cross Wednesday and Thursday, but this one isn’t supposed to pack as much of a punch for the East Bay as the last one. Our neighbors to the north, however, are in danger of a mad dash. Marin and the Santa Cruz Mountains, where Highway 9 has already washed away north of Boulder Creek and south of Felton, will see the brunt of this next system. The winds around here will still be strong, however, and we will see over an inch of precipitation. (SF Gate via MSN)
- Old Borges Ranch at Walnut Creek is a mud wall today due to a large mudslide over the weekend. Look at the pictures but do yourself a favor and stay away from the area. (Claycord.com)

Also, “Happy Valley Road [was] closed between Bear Creek Road and the Lafayette city limit due to a tree across the road.” It’s a mess out there! (Claycord.com)
- Andy Amstutz, co-founder of Lamorinda Village, was recently announced as the winner of the Don Jenkins/Lamorinda Village Service Award at the Lafayette Community Center. βDon and Andy were at the inception of the village and became founding board members,β said Lamorinda Village Chief Executive Kathryn Ishizu. βThey worked for years to develop the organization. I think Don would be very happy to have Andy as the first winner. (theorindanews.com)
