KINGSTON – The Ulster County Executive’s Office announced on Monday the appointment of Brian MacGregor as the county’s new chief insurance officer. MacGregor has worked in the insurance industry for 26 years and has resided in Ulster County for over 40 years.
“Brian MacGregor is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry and has held the Chartered Insurance Advisor designation for 16 years.” Acting County Executive Johanna Contreras said. “He will be an asset to the county government, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
“I will focus on risk management and loss control as well as marketing insurance coverage – all with the goal of controlling the cost of risk to the county,” MacGregor said. “As administrator of the County Self-Insurance Plan, our office will continue to focus on efforts to improve workplace safety for County employees and all participants in the County Self-Insurance Plan. .”
