According to Rapoport, Tom Brady could still retire after the season, but there’s a good chance he’ll return to the field either for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or as a free agent this offseason.
“I spoke to several sources close to him this week, the explanation was that all options are on the table for Brady. So what does that mean: retirement? It’s definitely still a possibility. Back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023? As possible – something I know they would want. And then there’s perhaps the most interesting – could Brady be a free agent again this coming offseason? It would definitely be the hottest free agent this year. Obviously, a lot to watch out for in the future.
This is huge news for the NFL world, and people had a lot to say about it on Twitter.
I’m making Vegas the favorite to sign Brady. Owner wanted him last time, McDaniels is here and can get picks for Carr https://t.co/FuEvaim8GS

Brady should just go to SF. Let Lance rest for another year. Jimmy G goes to the Jets or somewhere like that. Boom https://t.co/fy0amzOYnb

For football reasons and geographical reasons, Tom Brady should sign with the New York Jets. https://t.co/0IFsOICiab

Nothing says “I’m here for my team today!” like Brady’s agent telling everyone “he’s ready to go anywhere else!” https://t.co/zWO9fXLgUB
