The Alcona County Deeds Registry asks homeowners to know about MV Realty’s Homeowner Benefit Program.
The program entices homeowners by offering an upfront payment in exchange for signing an agreement, the county said in a recent news release. This agreement gives MV Realty exclusive permission to act as sales agent for any sale of property during the terms of the agreement, which may be for a period of 40 years.
The county said owners should exercise caution when entering into a contract affecting the property, as it can potentially create a lien on the property and bind future successors of interest. Homeowners may consider contacting a lawyer or real estate professional before entering into a contract.
