Reinsurance brokerage firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co has acquired Aviation Insurance Australia, based in Brisbane, Queensland.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1993, Aviation Insurance Australia is a specialist retail insurance broker serving aviation and aerospace clients nationwide.
The brokerage website says the company handles all types of aircraft, including fixed-wings, rotary-wings, gliders, warbirds, recreational aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Business leader Ian Tait and his team will remain in their current location under the leadership of Paul Harvey, Gallagher’s general manager of specialties in Australia.

Gallagher has had a busy time for acquisitions lately. The firm recently acquired P&C Bulen & Associates
And at the beginning of November, the company also acquired North Carolina-based PIUS Limited and its subsidiary Newlight Capital.
