Bobby Fox will appear at Carols By Candlelight at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Christmas Eve.
FIRST HOME
Ireland will always be my first home. I was born and raised outside of a very small town in
middle of County Longford right in the center of Ireland. I’m also the middle child, so there’s a whole theme going on here – maybe why I felt the need to escape to the other side of the world. I came from such gloriously modest means. Mom and dad raised five kids on a shoestring budget and I wouldn’t change a thing.

CURRENT HOUSE
I live in my two bedroom apartment in Elsternwick. I have lived here on and off for over 10 years! I like. To be honest I’ve had my ups and downs here but recently I was playing ‘Don Lockwood’ in ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ in Brisbane and while it was amazing
the experience of stepping into Gene Kelly’s shoes was exceptionally stressful.
The day I stole
back from Brisbane I was so physically exhausted I remember opening the door to my house
and I was greeted with such a deep sense of home. It was one of the best sleeps I’ve had
had all year.
DREAM HOUSE
I would like to have a little cottage style house right in the middle of Ireland. Totally
modernized but maintaining its heritage with an amazing kitchen and bathroom and a large
open window facing the sprawling hills.
Somewhere near my family so everyone can
come and go as they please. I would convert the shed into a studio/gym to stay sane and
related. A place to call mine whenever I’m home.
