JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s no secret that people have been flocking to Florida for the past few years.
A new listing says Jacksonville will be one of those top destinations for 2023.
The River City housing market could really heat up in the new year. On Thursday, Zillow released its The 10 hottest housing markets of 2023.
Some notable cities you might expect are on the list, including Charlotte, North Carolina, and Miami.

But Jacksonville actually took a step back from last year’s standings.
This year, Jacksonville came in at No. 6, just behind Nashville. Last year, River City ranked No. 2.
Zillow said it analyzed the nation’s 50 largest cities and focused on things like home value appreciation by November.

They also track the rate at which homes are sold. This all adds up to Jacksonville pushing back some on the list.
Zillow also predicts that more homeowners will have an easier time budgeting and planning this year thanks to lower mortgage rates.
Atlanta and Miami also made the top 10 while Tampa and Orlando slipped out of their top spots after making the cut last year.
