Today, there has been new speculation on the career of Stipe Miocic. One thing that hasn’t changed in the year since the following article was written is that Miocic hasn’t changed since cfu 260 in January 2021, when he lost the heavyweight title to Francois Ngannou.
While there were no further comments from Miocic on the state of his MMA career, he did shared tragic personal news this may further delay his return. As for whether or not he plans to retire, perhaps those comments from last year still apply.

Stipe Miocic has no plans to retire any time soon.
After Miocic lost his heavyweight title to Francis Ngannou at UFC 260, many wondered what was next for the Cleveland native. Many thought Miocic might hang up his gloves as he had nothing left to prove. Still, he says that’s not happening because he still feels well and isn’t ready to retire.
“I always feel good, that’s all that matters to me,” Miocic said on MMA hour. “As long as I feel good and have fun in this sport, I will continue to do so. It’s going to end, there’s no doubt, I don’t know when. I feel like you just want me to retire.
Miocic not being ready to retire, he made it clear that he wanted the trilogy with Francis Ngannou. He thinks he should have gotten it immediately because of everything he has done in his career. He is considered the greatest heavyweight of all time so he hopes he can clinch the title next yearHowever, he also hinted at a possible fight with Jon Jones.
“I will fight anyone like I always say [but] I really want this trilogy fight,” Miocic said. “This Stipe Miocic Shoots Down Speculations Of Retirement was mine. I want it back. Definitely get a trilogy [in 2022]. Get my title shot back. Get my belt back. Back to normal. Everything is back to normal. »
Stipe Miocic (20-4), as mentioned, hasn’t fought since March when he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou. Before that, he had three fights against Daniel Cormier where he lost and then recovered and defended his heavyweight title. He also holds notable victories over Fabricio Werdum, Junior dos Santosand Alistair Overeem among others.
