McConnell Johnson Real Estate is now Johnson Commercial Real Estate.
Along with this change, a newly redesigned logo and website were launched.
The change comes with the departure of partner Paul McConnell who wanted to focus on other business development opportunities as well as family philanthropic efforts. McConnell operates a separate commercial real estate development company.
“Today marks the start of an exciting chapter for JCRE,” said partner and broker Scott Johnson. “I look forward to continuing our work on North Market Street. and expanding the footprint of 1313 North Market and 1201 North Market, the former Hercules Building.
The office buildings are located in downtown Wilmington.
Holdings include The food hall and bar of the chancellery market, which opened last December, as well as plans for a boutique hotel, an art theater and other building and parking improvements for both properties. Further information is available at www.jcomre.com.
The company’s two office buildings face a long-standing weak market for downtown office space.
1201 North Market is the tallest building in Delaware at 23 stories. However, it is not prominent as its height suggests since it is downhill from other office skyscrapers.
