In early December, WSR will announce the winners of the following awards:

Hybrid RIA of the Year – This award is given to the top three RIA companies that offer paid solutions as well as commissionable services in affiliation with a broker, through W-2 or independent financial advisors, or both. Minimum $250 million in assets.

Paid RIA of the Year – This award is given to the top three SEC-registered RIA companies that primarily focus on fee-based solutions for clients, working through W-2 or Independent Financial Advisors, or both. Minimum $250 million in assets.

Private equity backed company from Year – This award is given to the top three wealth management companies that have received significant or majority equity investment from private equity, venture capital or other institutional investors for expansion and growth. Minimum $1 billion in assets.

Alternative Investments Platform of the Year – This award is given to the top three companies that provide a platform to help financial advisors align alternative assets with their retail investor clients. Minimum $10 billion in assets.

Asset Manager Platform of the Year – This award is given to the top three companies that have a significant presence in the wealth management industry and operate as third-party asset managers that service B2B wealth management platforms. Minimum $10 billion in assets.

Offer of the year – This award recognizes the best wealth management M&A deals of the year across five asset size categories, with one winner for each asset size segment as follows:

Mega Deal of the Year ($20 billion and more)

Big Deal of the Year ($7 billion at $20 billion)

Larger-to-medium size supply of the year ($2 billion at $7 billion)

Average deal size of the year ($500 million at $2 billion)

Offerings are selected based on their impact and importance to the industry, as well as how they reflect current industry trends. Asset size ranges are approximate.

Family office of the year – This award is given to the top three financial advisory firms that have a majority or significant focus on families of ultra-high net worth clients and engage (either themselves or through affiliates) in sophisticated and generally tailored services. offered to this clientele, such as concierge services, tax and estate planning services and artistic investment advice. Pension Consulting Firm of the Year – This award is given to the top three wealth management firms that have a majority or significant focus on pension advice under ERISA. Minimum $1 billion in assets.

Wealthtech Company of the Year – This award is given to the top three companies providing technology solutions to companies that operate in the field of non-institutional wealth management. Minimum $250 million assets served.

Practice Management Platform of the Year – This award recognizes the top three in-house practice management platforms within a wealth management firm, offering solutions that may include but are not limited to consulting, operational efficiency, succession planning or asset marketing advisers. Minimum $250 million assets served.

Retirement Income Solutions Provider of the Year – This award is given to the top three companies that specialize in helping financial advisors align their clients with retirement income planning and retirement income-generating vehicles. Minimum $250 million assets served.
