    Child tax credit: what if you miss the deadline to claim up to $3,600?

    Missed the deadline to claim your money?

    Don’t panic if you’ve missed any of the aforementioned deadlines to claim unclaimed stimulus money or child tax credit payments. Even if you won’t receive the money this year, you can still claim it when you submit your taxes in 2023.

    • You don’t have a bank account set up.
    • You had never filed a case before.
    • You live in a mixed household.
    • You have not given a new address to the USPS or the IRS.
    • You are currently homeless.
    • You have little or no internet access.

    If none of these explanations apply to you, it may be time to submit a payment trail to the IRS by sending Form 3911 or calling 800-919-9835.
