Anear the governor brad little signed legislation in September to distribute $500 million in tax refunds to residents, The Idaho state government is now expected to send rebates worth up to $600.
Individual registrants will receive $300 stimulus while joint filers will receive either $600 or 10% of their 2020 income taxes, whichever is greater.
“Governor brad little and the Idaho Legislature authorized the refund in a special legislative session in September,” read the Idaho press release.
“The refund automatically goes to people who were full-year Idaho residents for 2020 and 2021 and who filed taxes for those years. This includes those who filed Form 24 to get the credit refunded. groceries.”
Who is eligible for reimbursement in Idaho?
It should be noted that taxpayers must file tax returns before the end of the calendar year in order to be eligible for the rebate.
To receive the payment, the applicant must be a year-round resident in 2020 and 2021.
They must also have filed a tax return or Form 24 in the above year to qualify for the rebate.
When will payment arrive for Idaho taxpayers?
The Tax Commission estimates that it will issue approximately 800,000 refunds by the end of March 2023. Applicants can track their payment through Idaho’s official website.
“Idahoans who qualify for the 2022 Special Session Rebate can now track their payment online at tax.idaho.gov/rebate,” the official website reads.
“To get their refund status, they’ll need their Social Security number and Idaho driver’s license, state-issued identification number, or 2021 tax return.
“The Rebate Tracker is available 24 hours a day and is the fastest way to find the status of a rebate. It displays the same information that the Idaho State Tax Commission can give by telephone.
“Taxpayers should continue to check the tool as it updates the status as the agency gets closer to sending their refund.”
