    SNAP Changes 2023: What do you need to know about food stamps for 2023?

    SNAP 2023 changes

    “The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is committed to ensuring that all eligible families, including mixed immigrant status families with children, can access federal nutrition benefits, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (BREAK),” a Food and Nutrition Service press release read earlier this year.

    “Many immigrant households may be concerned about requesting and accessing BREAK benefits because of confusion and fear of consequences for their or their family’s immigration status. FNS understands the importance of communicating changes related to public charge policy and building trust so eligible immigrant families can better access essential nutritional support.”

    It should be noted that maximum and minimum benefits have already increased in several states, while income limits have also changed. This means that more people are not eligible for certain benefits.

    Meanwhile, other states are ready to introduce Simplified application project for the elderly (ESPA), which aims to help older people and people with disabilities gain easier access to food benefits.
