    Black Friday falls on November 25, 2022 and many are wondering if the banks are open on the biggest shopping day of the year?

    The short answer is yes, banks are open on Black Friday. While Thanksgiving, which takes place on Thursday, November 24 this year, is one of the 10 American holidays in 2022, Black Friday is not.

    For those wondering, the the exchange will also be open on Black Friday, but not for a full trading day. The Nasdaq Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will be open from 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time to 1:00 p.m., while the bond market will close at 2:00 p.m. For reference, regular trading hours runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
