DDecember is here! A new month has arrived and gas prices continue to fall as 2022 draws to a close. While fuel prices are still much higher than a year ago, they are gradually moving away from their summer highs, much to the delight of United States residents.
It will be a while before they get back to pre-pandemic levels and researching the best deals is always important, but prices have come down over the past two months and continue to do so.

Which state has the highest gas prices?
Many of the highest prices in the United States were above the $6 per gallon mark, but now the highest price is in Hawaii, where the average is $5.195 per gallon. It is closely followed by California.
Which state has the lowest price?
Texas is the state with the cheapest average gas price today, as it is only $2,853 per gallon. Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Georgia are next.
