Nov. 28—ATLANTA—Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner John F. King announced on Monday that Linda Troendle67 years old, Camillewas arrested for arson and insurance fraud.
On October 6the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office asked for help from Office of the State Fire Marshal in reference to a residential structure fire on red hill road.
“Officers from our Fire Investigation Unit have determined that the fire was started intentionally following the discovery of multiple fire origins within the bedroom and kitchen of the residential structure” , King said in a press release.
“Next, Mrs Troendle personal loss insurance claim, filed on October 19 and is worth approximately $5,300was found to be fraudulent.”
Troendle was arrested on 21 November on one count of arson and insurance fraud. The Office of the Fire Marshal assisted the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and Volunteer Fire Department with this case.
