NOTNext week, a new batch of direct payments in the order of $200 and $1,050 will be distributed. Starting on monday january 30qualified Californians will start receiving the new payments.
The Middle class tax refund has so far distributed almost $9 billion qualified taxpayers. In October 2022one-time payments became available for the first time.
Debit cards or direct deposits were used to send the money. Debit cards will be sent to people whose address has changed since the deposit of their tax return 2020 for the last round of payments.
Who is entitled to this direct payment?
- Before October 15, 2021, you filed your 2020 tax return.
- Comply with CA AGI (California Adjusted Gross Income) restrictions
- Did not have the eligibility requirements to be claimed as a dependent for the 2020 tax year.
- Were a California resident for at least six months of the 2020 tax year
- At the time payment is made, you must be a California resident
Californians got their MCTR payments by debit card or direct deposit. Eligible taxpayers who have filed their 2020 CA tax return and got their CA tax refund by direct deposit will receive payments by direct deposit.
