    Gas prices remain a concern for individuals and families across the United States2022 continuing to pose financial challenges for most.

    Although the price of fuel has come down a bit in recent weeks, it still costs a considerable amount of money to fill up, especially on either coast of the United States.

    As is apparently always the case, it is California residents who pay the most for their gas on average across the country. The average price in the Golden State is now below $6 per gallon and today is $5,880 per gallon. Alaska and Hawaii are next.

    Which state has the cheapest gas prices?

    Georgia has consistently been one or the cheapest in the US for the average gas price and today the Peach State is at $3.235 a gallon. Many surrounding southern states are the next cheapest countries for gas, followed by Texas and Mississippi.
