    Charleston, Utah Companies Merge to Form Real Estate Technology Company > Charleston Business Journal

    Charleston-based BoomTown, a cloud-based sales and marketing automation platform serving real estate professionals, and Inside Real Estate, a high-growth independent real estate software company, have merged to form a residential real estate technology company.

    The merger creates a provider of residential real estate software and services for all product and customer segments, a BoomTown press release said. Following the acquisition, Inside Real Estate is positioned to help top performing franchises, brokerages, teams and agents run their businesses more efficiently by providing technology, services and a partner ecosystem to from a single supplier, according to the release.

    Inside Real Estate’s Joe Skousen will continue as CEO leading an executive team comprised of industry veterans from Inside Real Estate and BoomTown, including BoomTown’s Grier Allen as Chief Strategy Officer and Nick Macey as chairman, the statement said. The company is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Uah, with offices in Charleston and Carlsbad, Calif., and employees spread across the United States.

    “This is the first day of an exciting new chapter for BoomTown and our customers,” BoomTown CEO Grier Allen said in the release. “Joining Joe and the talented team at Inside Real Estate allows us to continue our combined mission of serving the real estate industry with world-class technology and services. With a clear vision for the future, we look forward to accelerating the pace of innovation to fuel our customers’ growth and success.

    Inside real estatewhich partners with more than 400,000 real estate professionals, and Booming citywhich serves more than 100,000 real estate professionals, will bring together the breadth and depth of each company’s award-winning technology solutions, world-class customer support and services, and one of the largest and most engaged communities of the best real estate professionals, the statement said.

    The merger creates a combined portfolio of back office solutions, including CORE Back Office, Brokermint and AmpStats recently acquired by Inside Real Estate, the statement said.

    Houlihan Lokey served as exclusive financial advisor and DLA Piper LLP (US) served as legal advisor to BoomTown, according to the release.
