    Powerball Winning Numbers: Lucky Ticket Wins $2.04 Billion Jackpot in Atadena, California

    power ball had an increase in ticket sales, a single person in the city of Altadena, California just won the Tuesday morning draw jackpot. Monday was supposed to be the day the numbers would be announced, but there were confirmed technical difficulties of a $1.9 billion prize. Once the problem was resolved, new figures were announced on Tuesday morning. Initially, the official Powerball Twitter account revealed that there was no winner because no one had come up with the new winning numbers.

    Who won the Powerball in Altadena?

    But that all changed around noon, when a winner was just announced by the California Lottery Twitter account. The winning ticket was sold at a Joe’s Service Center in Altadena, CA. The name of the winner has not yet been revealed. This is the biggest jackpot in American lottery history. According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, the odds of hitting all six numbers were one in 292.2 million. For those who don’t remember, the winning numbers were 10-33-41-47-56 and the Powerball was 10.

    Were there other winning Powerball tickets?

    Even though the jackpot was won by a single ticket, 11.2 million tickets won cash prizes among all those that sold. These cash prizes totaled a $98.1 million estimate. This included 22 Tickets That Won Million Dollar Prizes, these are the ones that matched the first five white numbers that did not include the Powerball number. On Monday the jackpot was $1.9 billion but it was adapted to $2.04 billion by Tuesday after the technical issues have been resolved.

    This winner marks the first-ever billionaire to come from the American lottery. The last time a major award happened was in 2016, when $1.586 billion pot was split between three lucky winners. Each of them also has his share of the cash value, which has been added to $983.5 million. Today’s winner power ball Ticket will have the choice of getting approximately half of the prize money in one payment or all of the money divided into monthly payments for the next 29 years.
